Xtreme Speedway Action
How often do you wish in December that you could be watching Speedway?
Not just December but all the year round and even on non-Speedway evenings. How about the idea of watching Speedway whenever you want, all day long?
Sounds like a dream, well now its possible, thanks to Xtreme Speedway Action.
Producer Mark Williams describes for us how it works:
What is Xtreme Speedway Action and why should someone support it?
Here are some of the reasons to support it.
Xtreme Speedway Action is a high end website that provides Streaming
Video, Live Webcast and Internet Radio Coverage of Speedway Racing
Speedway is an exciting sport, and a lot of people care about the sport
and are interested in finding out what is happening in Speedway.
If we go back 10 years, the only way to get any info on speedway was to
be at the races, Know someone who was are at the races, or read about
it a few weeks later Cycle News or Turn One Magazine or maybe on that new
thing called The Internet.
Today, in 2005, and moving on to 2006, not much has changed, we have a
few more websites, some dedicated people involved in the sport who take
the time to write stories about what happened at the races, and the
Speedwaybikes Message board, where most of the same people talk about
most of the same things.
Image a world with only a weekly Newspaper to get your news from, No
Radio, No TV, not even any color pictures of your favorite riders, just
text.
That is what we have today, and that is why you should support Xtreme
Speedway Action!
If we want to bring in new people to the sport, both as spectators and
riders, then we need to provide information about the sport in the
format that they are use to. That would be TV and Radio. Since Speedway
is not yet ready for Prime Time TV, or regular Radio, the Internet is
the next best thing, and in some cases BETTER!
Xtreme Speedway Action covered over 40 Speedway Races this year, at
Costa Mesa, The Grand and the National Championships and the USA vs. The World at Auburn , the West Coast speedway
League finals and the Under 21 Championships. We
covered the races with high quality Video, Internet Radio, DVD's and
Live Webcasts. Still yet to come the Gum Ball Rally.
This is very expensive and requires a lot of man hours and travel time to
get done. But we have proven that if you produce it, the Speedway fan
will find it, watch it, and comment on it. And new fans of the sport
will see how exciting it is and come out to the track to personally
experience Xtreme Speedway in Action.
We feel that our Coverage of the Nationals at Auburn is the BEST
Speedway coverage anywhere, with multi-cameras, high quality streaming
video on the web, interviews and much more.
For the small fee of only $5.00 per month, you can have access to ALL
the races on the web, all you need to do is find your favorite rider,
click on the link and watch it like it was on TV.
We also have produced our Internet Radio Show every Monday live on the
net from 3 to 4pm since the first of the year. We have had on most of
the top riders, like Bobby Schwartz, Chris Manchester, Charlie Venegas,
Josh Larsen, Shawn McConnell, Nate Perkins, Brian Yarrow, and some of
the legends of the sport like Bruce Penhall, Barry Briggs, our event
Announcers, Bruce Flanders, and Terry Ike Clanton, Referees Brian
Galvin and Steve Lucero, Track Promotors Jason Bonsignor and Dave Joiner. And
in the can, Mike Bast, Billy Hamill, Tommy Hedden, and Chris Kerr.
If you want to reach the average sports fan, then the Internet is the
way to go, and if you want to bring new riders into the sport, then you
have to SHOW them how exciting it is, not just post the results of the
Races each week on the web
We also put money back into the sport by supporting the Youth Riders
as much as we can.
