Subject: Joe Screen

It seems that Joe Screen has had a bit slow start to the season. His British CMA to date (6,10) is not
exceptional. Also, his Polish CMA (4,80) seems well below expectations. Does anybody have a clue (e.g.
spoke to Joe) about reasons for such a start and how his GP preparations are? I am sure we will see him strike
back later this season.
Bydgoszcz (Joe's Polish team this season) managers are considering to invite Shane Parker to replace Joe
this Monday. I am looking forward to seeing Shane back in Bydgoszcz and would like to learn your opinions
about how Shane is doing in the British league (statistics do not say anything).

I spoke to Neil Machin last night who told me that Darren had been
suffering headaches & double vision while staying with Jason Crump.
He returned to a hospital who found a broken bone in his neck which
had previously been overlooked. Surgeons are going to insert a screw,
but it is a potentially dangerous operation given the proximity of
vital nerves.
I will be happy to forward you further information as I receive it.

Yes the usual Tuesday mailing to the list!!! Tonight's scheduled match
between the Isle of Wight and Reading has fallen victim to the weather.
Three Tuesday rainoffs in a row!
Unfortunately, with an away match at Newport on Sunday and away/home
clashes with Exeter next Monday, Reading can't agree to the meeting being
restaged next Tuesday. No new date as yet.

Further to my earlier posting today, Dave Pavitt has now informed me that
Reading HAVE agreed to go to the Isle of Wight NEXT Tuesday for the
restaging.
A new date will now be found for IOW v Exeter.

Home rider Scott Nicholls won Eskilstuna’s grand opening meeting on Tuesday,
having passed Kaparna’s Peter Karlsson from the back in the A-final.
Karlsson was unbeaten in the qualifying heats, scoring a 15-point maximum.
New Lindarna signing Paul Hurry had a good debut meeting , ending up third
overall. Mark Loram had a poor meeting, failing to win a single race.

Viasat Sport can be seen anywhere in Europe, but you need a smartcard and
correct equipment to be able to watch it. Only a minority of people in
Sweden can see this channel.
