Does anybody know any details about the qualification round of European
Under 19 Championship staged at Debrecen last Saturday? I have only heard
that Czech Ondrej Sebela advanced to next round...
Best regards
Tony Skach

Subject: Fw: Czech Grand Prix
Date: Tue, 9 May 2000 23:58:34 +1000
The Czech GP was a real landmark for Aussie fans as it was seen live on two
of the three PAY TV networks in Australia.
We only got the commentary from Tony Millard and Peter Collins, nothing
else. Several times there was vision of someone being interviewed ( eg.
Gundersen) but no sound.
Regarding controversies, can someone at the meeting tell me how soon the red
lights came on in the Consolation Final. From what we saw Rickardsson seemed
to slow down before the first corner (was there a problem) but the other
three raced well into the back straight.
If the red light took a while to come on, does it not beg the question that
if a rider moves at the tapes and only disadvantages himself then the race
should be allowed to continue?
One other question from a first time viewer, is the starting grid always as
rutted as it was in Prague?
Regards
Peter Baker
