Edinburgh only got their noses ahead once and that was when it mattered -
at the end of heat 15.
Led by Robert Eriksson, Peter Carr and Kevin Little, they clawed their
way back from eight points down after 8 heats to snatch the points from
the Hammers.
The Edinburgh trio were quite superb with Little a revelation dropping
his only point to Troy Pratt in his second ride
A fine meeting really....the Hammers will be kicking themselves for not
ramming home their advantage from 8 points up but Edinburgh's top three
were quite superb and it was they who turned the tables in the last three
races.
For Arena Pedersen battled hard, Read made a useful return after injury,
Pratt opened in brilliant fashion with three wins but dipped out in heats
13 & 15. Chalky White a bit subdued by his high standards.
Sorry it's a bit short...need sleep B4 setting off for Newport

Why was there a run-off? Doesn't seem to affect rostrum or
qualification.
Thanks, Gary

Hi Gary!
Nobody knows the decision for the run-off Place 4-6, neither the 3 rider.
I`ve asked the Danish Teammanager Erik Gundersen just after the meeting, he
also doesn`t know why there was a run-off.
I`ll check it up tomorrow and ask someone at the DMU.
Regards Jacqueline

2. Hans N. Andersen (Denmark)
3. Kenneth Borgenhaug (Norway)
Does anybody know the full result?

I think only the top 5 automatically qualify for the Scandinavian Final.
The 6th placed rider goes into a pre-meeting runoff (along with one rider
each from Sweden, Norway and Finland) for the final place in the meeting
proper.

Kevin Meynell
