Bryan Yarrow's made his trek to Southern California pay off by capturing the First Division Main Event at Industry Hills Speedway
Current Under 21 National Champion Skyler Greyson made a good start from the pole, but Yarrow trapped the field from the outside and held the lead on the back straight. Greyson had his hands full with Nate Perkins and Shawn McConnell and he entered turn three a little high and allowed them both to go by. Yarrow cruised ahead of the field and went unchallenged the rest of the way, but Perkins was under heavy assault from McConnell for second. Yarrow was first to the checkered flag and McConnell's pressure paid off when Perkins drifted wide exiting the final corner and McConnell was able to beat him to the line for second.
Greyson began the heat beating Buck Blair. Yarrow started off his evening by defeating McConnell. Charlie Venegas held off Perkins to win event nine. Ryan Fisher beat Bobby Krips to end round one.
Venegas defeated Eddie Castro to begin round two. Blair beat Krips and McConnell in Event 15. Robbie Sauer led the next race for the first lap before Dale Facchini passed him on the outside and ran away with the win. Perkins beat Fisher to end the second round.
Greyson began the final round by beating McConnell. In Event 20 Perkins and Tommy Hedden waged a spectacular inside-outside battle with Perkins finally coming out on top. In the next race it was Venegas and Blair battled side-by-side before Venegas edged ahead and won. Harmatiuk closed out the heats with a win over Castro. A four-way runoff to determine the final two spots in the semis was won by Castro with McConnell taking second and getting the final spot in the semis.
In the first semi, Fisher's race ended in turn two when he dropped a fuel line. That left Perkins with the lead and he went on to win with McConnell coming in second and following him to the main. In the second semi, Venegas made the start and led before Yarrow went by on the inside and was then followed by Greyson who held off Venegas to take the two transfers to the main.
Neil Facchini dominated the Second Division Main Event by trapping from the outside and then running away with the win. Michael Hernandez was second, Eloy Medellin finished third, and Rudy Laurer was fourth.
Ron Mongenel led the Third Division Main Event but was passed by Mark Skeels at the beginning of lap three. Skeels was never threatened after that and went on to the victory. Tony Bracy finished second, Mongenel was third, DeWayne Stark finished fourth, Hugh Randolph was fifth, Steve Bowen finished sixth, and Wayne Isaac was credited with seventh.
Krystal Cramer won the Youth Main Event for the third week in a row. Gino Manzares finished second, Joey Holt was third, and Russell Green finished fourth.
