Last night was probably the most comfortable temperature so far this season. The racing was good, with several close finishes.

Charlie Venegas blasted out of the gate to take the scratch main.

Chad Felicio returned with a new engine, after an extended absence, riding in motocross events in the mid west, to take both the Handicap Main and the Scratch Consi.

So next week is the last week of the regular program. After that it’s the Junior National (under 21) and Youth National (under 16) then the final round of the AMA National Championship, then the track championship. For many next week will be their last ride of the year. After that it’s a well deserved chance to sit up in the stands and enjoy the races.
