National Champion Billy "The Kid" Janniro had a flawless performance and took home the main event victory on Fan Appreciation Night at Inland Motorcycle Speedway in San Bernardino. Janniro entered the main event undefeated and used his gate choice to select gate one. When the tapes went up he exploded into the lead while Josh Larsen, Jimmy "Little Animal" Fishback, and "Fast" Eddie Castro all gave chase. Larsen emerged from the pack as the closest challenger and set his sights on the leader. Janniro wasn't about to allow any drama and never turned a wheel wrong throughout the four laps. When the checkered flag waved it was Janniro who raced past it first, Larsen finished second, Fishback was third, and Castro finished fourth. Fishback kicked off the evening with a win over Dukie Ermolenko in the first heat. Northern California's Tommy Hedden beat Steve Russell in the second heat. Jason Ramirez led the third heat before Larsen charged underneath him on the second lap for the lead and the win. Janniro began his night by blazing to victory over Castro. Larsen and Fishback finished one-two in a three-rider runoff to advance directly to the main event while Castro was relegated to the Last Chance. Fox defeated Abbott in a runoff to earn a spot in the Last Chance Race. Castro led the first attempt of the Last Chance but was in a fierce battle with Tommy Hedden. When they exited turn two the second time Hedden hooked up and collided with Castro which sent both men tumbling down the back straight. Castro was up relatively quickly while Hedden was down for several minutes. Castro was able to restart, but Hedden was out with a concussion. Castro led the restart for the entire distance to take the final spot in the main.
