USA National Speedway Champion Billy Janniro continues to rack up Division I scratch main event wins at Fast Friday Motorcycle Speedway in Auburn. Friday night Janniro again proved he was the man to beat at Fast Fridays by winning the main event against the same four veterans riders that he has faced for the fourth consecutive week. Bart Bast, Bryan Yarrow, and Tommy Hedden are riding consistently this season and winning their heat and semi races to end up in the final race only to run into Janniro in the main event. Janniro is riding very well and coming off double main event wins last week seems to have their numbers, winning the scratch main event for the second week in a row-four of seven main events wins this season. Hedden showing signs of genius at Fast Fridays this season took two scratch main events in week four and five. Bast is one of Fast Fridays most consistent riders, in both handicap and scratch main events each week, picked up a scratch main event win in week two and leads division one in season track points. Yarrow is always knocking at the door working his way into the scratch main event in all but one week this season but has yet to take the checkered flag.
Friday night Janniro riding out of the inside gate again and undefeated for the evening in the scratch program, finished first ahead of Bast who was second, Yarrow who was third, and Hedden who went down in turn three in the second lap finished fourth.
The Division I handicap main event shaped up to be a good race. Hedden, riding off the 50-yard line, worked his way into the handicap main event with first and third place wins in his heat races and was able to hold off Bast for to win the handicap main event. It was Hedden's first handicap main event win of the 2012 season. Bast finished second and Janniro finished third.
Sixteen-year-old Jamison Dilkey up from Division III won his first Division II main event. Dustin Berdolt was second and Chris Casey was third. Colton Duncan won the Division III main event, Shane Szuh was second and Kyle Marsalla was third. Luke Becker again took the Youth Division I main event, his third main event win of the season. Auburn's Louis Marsaroli was second, followed by his brother David Marsaroli who finished third.
Next week Fast Fridays will bring the third round of the Extreme Sidecars Series back to the Gold Country Fairgrounds. Joe Jones and his band of rowdy three wheeled adrenalin seeking racers will be back on their 1100cc bikes with exciting sidecar action.
