Harley Night - San Bernardino, CA, USA - August 23 "Fast" Eddie Castro won the Scratch Main Event for the second consecutive week on Harley Night at Pirate Speedway. Castro started from gate five and that became an advantage for him due to the ample supply of dirt on the outside. He didn't get the best of starts but swept around the boards through turn one and found plenty of traction exiting turn two and took the lead on the back straight. Aaron Fox chased after the leader the entire distance but was unable to force a mistake. Castro was first to the finish line, Fox was second, Shawn "Mad Dog" McConnell finished third, Buck Blair was fourth, and Russell Green was credited with fifth. Castro opened the evening with a win over Tyson Talkington. Fox beat Blair in the second heat. McConnell ended round one by beating Brad Sauer. Fox defeated Castro to start round two. Blair beat Talkington in event 10. McConnell held off Russell Green to finish the second round. Blair began the final round with a win ahead of Sauer. Fox beat Talkington to remain perfect. Castro defeated McConnell to end the heats. Castro won the first semi with Green getting second to transfer to the main. Fox and McConnell finished one-two in the second semi and made it to the main event. Blair won the Last Chance to fill the final spot in the main-event field. Dave Troutt led the first four laps of the Support Main Event but found himself under immense pressure from Chris Jones as he took the white flag. Troutt went wide the final time through turn two and it gave Jones the opening he needed to take the lead. Jones led the final half lap for the victory. Davey Shaw also got by Troutt and finished second, Tom Bryant was fourth, Pam Bennett finished fifth, and Andy Crawford was sixth. Gage Geist led the Junior 250 Main Event through the first turn but Dalton Leedy went around the outside as they entered turn three and went to the front. Leedy never looked back and went on to victory. Geist held on to second and Michael Wells finished third. Courtney Crone led all four laps en route to victory in the Mini 150 Main Event. Sebastian Palmese finished second and Dryden LeoGrande was third. Dakota Shockley started at the back of the field and weaved through the traffic to win the Pee Wee Main Event. Jonas LeoGrande was second, Luke Whitcomb finished third, Tanner Richey was fourth, Jacob Loverock finished fifth, and Jake Troutt was sixth.
