Pirate Speedway - San Bernardino, CA, USA - September 6 Aaron Fox stepped forward to deny "Fast" Eddie Castro of third consecutive main event victory on a great night of racing at Pirate Speedway. Fox started from gate one and led the field through the first corner. Gino Manzares emerged as Fox's biggest threat as they raced down the back straight. Manzares was determined to catch the leader but Fox steadily put distance between he and his closest challenger. Manzares slowed dramatically and pulled off the track with an engine failure. "Battling" Buck Blair took over second but the lead was too big to overcome. Fox was first to the checkered flag, Blair finished second, Castro was third, Tyson Talkington finished fourth, and Manzares was credited with fifth. Manzares began the evening with a win over Talkington. Russell Green defeated Castro in the second heat. Fox beat Troy McConnell in event three.
