Industry Racing, CA, USA - June 12 Billy "The Bullet" Hamill continued his dominance at Industry Racing in 2013 by keeping his perfect record alive and sliding to his third consecutive main event victory. Billy Hamill strolled out to the main event having won all 14 of his races at Industry Racing this season and the right to pick his starting position first. After an obligatory glance at gate two he picked gate one. "Battling" Buck Blair held second choice and debated for a minute before choosing gate three. Aaron Fox took gate two which left Under 21 National Champion Gino Manzares with gate four. Billy Hamill got off the starting line well but Blair gated evenly with him and they were handlebar-to-handlebar entering turn one. Billy Hamill hugged the inside line while Blair tried to make the outside work. The inside proved to be better and Blair found himself fighting to hold on to second. Fox blasted underneath the Colorado native on the back straight with eyes on the leader. The former World Champion was comfortably ahead, however, and did made no mistakes on his way to his fifteenth straight race victory of the Industry Racing season and taking home his third main event in as many weeks. Fox finished second, Manzares was third, and Blair finished fourth. Billy Hamill gave a preview of his evening with a runaway win over Tyson Talkington in the first heat. Fox beat Russell Green in the second heat. Blair defeated Max Ruml in event three. Tim Gomez scored an impressive win over former Under 21 National Champion Austin Novratil in the fourth heat. Former World Finalist Josh Larsen beat Manzares to end the first round. Novratil opened the second round with a defeat of Talkington. Billy Hamill beat Fox for his second straight win. Max Ruml passed Charlie "The Edge" Venegas and won the next heat. Larsen made it two wins in a row by beating Gomez. Manzares finished round two by beating Green. Billy Hamill started round three by beating former Junior National Champion Jason Ramirez to remain perfect. Max Ruml beat Talkington for his second straight win. Larsen matched Billy Hamill's perfect score by beating Venegas in event 27. Fox held off Blair for his second win in a row. Manzares ended the heats with a win over Novratil. A runoff between Gomez, Talkington, and Blair was held to determine the final two spots in the semis. Blair made a great start and took the victory with Gomez getting second while Talkington's third place ended his night. Billy Hamill won the first semi with Manzares following him to the main. Blair made gate three work and won the second semi while Fox finished second to also transfer to the main. Larsen was victorious in the Consolation and was followed across the finish line by Gomez, with Max Ruml getting third and Novratil finishing fourth. Shawn Eldredge was leading Rudy Laurer in the Second Division Main Event when a crash involving Eloy Medellin and Chris Jones brought out the red flag and forced a restart. Laurer, who won both of his heats, took advantage of his second chance and kept the persistent Eldredge at bay to win the main for the third straight week. Eldredge had to chalk second place up to bad racing luck, Medellin finished third, and Jones was fourth. Rick Howard led the first lap of the Third Division Main Event but Steve "Beach Ball" Brown was slicing through traffic from the back in wholesale fashion. Brown got alongside the leader on the second lap but Howard wasn't going to relinquish the position easily. Brown remained steadfast on the outside and it paid off when he surged ahead of Howard on the fourth lap. Brown led the rest of the way for the victory. Howard held on to second, Kevin "Rip" Fife was third, Tony DeAlmeida finished fourth, and Chris Wiggins was fifth. Junior National Champion Broc Nicol was fast and smooth all four laps on his way to victory in the Junior 250 Main Event. Dillon Ruml was second, Hayley Perrault finished third, Kurtis Hamill was fourth, and Dalton Leedy finished fifth. Sebastian Palmese led from start to finish en route to victory in the Mini 150 First Division Main Event. Michael Wells finished second and Courtney Crone was third. Luke Whitcomb started at the back but only need two and a half laps to get through the traffic and take over the lead in the Pee Wee Main Event. He rode off into the horizon from there and collected the victory. Walker Calvo was second, Andrew Russell finished third, Carson Calvo was fourth, Jason Palmese Jr. finished fifth, and Conner Salazar was sixth. The next event at Industry Racing will be Mazda Motorsports Night. The evening will have all divisions of speedway, juniors, pee wees, and the sidecars will make their second appearance of the season.
