The North vs. South Challenge rivalry continues in its 32nd year at Fast Friday's Motorcycle Speedway in Auburn Ca. The longest running team grudge match in American speedway history brings the best speedway riders from Southern California to the Fast Friday's tricky dirt oval to race against the best speedway riders in Northern California in a once-a-year thrilling night of speedway racing. This year the Southern team was able to avenge their loss last year with a convincing win over the North with a score of 77-62. The challenge is the best in team racing with the teams scoring points for finishing position in 18 scratch heat races. Then more points can be gained as teams send riders into the A and B main events. The challenge total now sits at 20 wins for the North and 12 wins for the South. Billy Janniro was the high scorer for the North with 25 points and Dillon Ruml was the high scorer for the South with 22 points.
This year's team for the South was Max Ruml, Wilbur Hancock, Dillon Ruml, Alex Martin, Chris Kerr and Aaron Fox. For the North Billy Janniro, Timmy Dion, Bart Bast, Louie Mersaroli, Broc Nicol and Blake Borello.
In the youth program Jameson Hutchinson won the Youth 250 main event and Riley Rearick won the Youth 150 main event.
