Scoring a double, winning both main events, is a rare feat in speedway, but John Aden has now accomplished it two weeks in a row as he again won both the scratch and handicap main events at Speedway USA.
In the handicap main Aden and "Fast Eddie" Castro came off the back yard lines and sliced through the field to emerge 1 - 2 at the front of the pack. It appeared that they would finish that way but then Castro's bike pulled up lame and Aden went on to win unchallenged over Dustin Evans and Michael Hull.
Aden took the lead at the start of the scratch main event and simply walked away from the field, taking the win over Evans, Kon Baur and Robbie Sauer.
In sidecar action the team of Clyde Dennen and Dale Leeder won a dynamite handicap main event that saw several teams challenging for the top spot before Dennen and Leeder swept around the outside for the victory with Steve Staton and Jack Straw second and Rob Virza and Brandon Kruse third.
In the scratch main Peter Lewis and Jamie Macy took the lead at the start and held it all the way, but behind them a fierce three way battle was going on for second with Dennen and Leeder finally nipping out Stanton and Straw.
Josh May put on a great show in the support class main as he came back to the front and took the victory over Rick Bishop, Terry McCurdy and Mike Boyle while Patrick Donnovan, Jesse Little and Jon Childress took first, second and third division honors in the junior classes, and Misty won the bikini contest.
