Frank is a sponsor of California racers: Pat Linn, Bryan Yarrow, Amanda English, and AJ Jones.
Frank is the son of former motorcycle & auto racer Frank Crane Sr. "I am temporarily retired, campaigning a road racing sidecar. But I will be back on a speedway bike tentatively in 2000."
"I was the Oregon state champion in 1994-1995 at the Ray Jackson promoted speedway events here in the NW. I rode an Elliott Long sponsored Jawa in the '95 event.
An indoor in Canby, Or. It was advertised and billed as the State Speedway Championship and it was open to all speedway riders. There weren't many, but... I'm the Champ! I never mentioned this before because it was an "outlaw" event. No SRA or AMA sanction. I'm not certain we care about that anymore? It was still a championship speedway event, open to all comers."
"This year I'll be sharing driving duties with my 14 year old daughter Kristina in our new 1/2 scale MMRA Super Mini-Cup "NASCAR" look-a-like late model stock car. The "Toy Racing Collectibles" 1999 Pontiac Grand Prix. We'll be competing the entire Regional/National Championship series."
"Cliff Majors is responsible for starting speedway here in the NW. He ran races here in the 60's with over 1/2 dozen prominent class C riders giving it a go. And Rob Muzzy promoted Speedway here in the 70's in Corvallis, OR. Several young "future stars" from Cal competed including Bart Bast, Heddens, and Steve Lucero I was told."
"I'm still planing on limited appearances in 2000 on a Speedway bike. I'll most likely be making the trek Nor Cal unless they can ever create a track here in the NW that's safe and has a real Speedway surface. We have tons of cinders here in Oregon, but no one will use it."
