Friday's results follow together with a new photo of Bobby M by Joan.
It stopped raining around noon, the sun came out, the temperature rose,
the track dried out and was in fine shape come
race time. The only problem left was the lack of riders which put a
crimp in the night's racing.
Three riders dominated the shortened program - Bogden Muszynski, Jeremy Musson and Kyle Legault.
Legault was unbeaten in D3 racing and looked impressive when he moved up
a level for the final D2 heat. He trailed the
much more experienced Byron Ambo for two and a half laps before slipping
inside and taking the lead starting the final lap.
However he drifted wide out of the final turn and Jeremy Musson zipped
through to take the win and finish unbeaten in D2.
Earlier in the night Musson showed his ability against D1 riders when he
won the Handicap event. Starting off scratch in
his first race against senior riders he rode a fast inside line.
Backmarker Muszynski moved to second within a lap and
looked to have things well in hand. However Musson was not rattled,
made no mistakes and was in the lead when the
race was red flagged with a lap to go due to a hard spill by Casey
Franic.
Muszynski took the honours in D1 racing and deserves credit for a
sporting ride in the handicap event. To round out a
good night for him he won a contest at the end of the meeting for the
best wheelie.
