Date Started Speedway: 1970
Reason to Race Speedway: Rode one year as a novice between 1070 & 1971. Rode in a junior individual meeting at Sheffield and three second half novice races.
Note: "I took up speedway again in 1997 after finding the Paris track. Tried to convince myself that helping out would be enough but I got the bug again. I feel like 19 on the bike, my age as I start to fall off, and 90 when I hit the ground! There is nothing like the experience of riding."
Regrets: "not keeping my English bike, a JAP in a Jackson Rotrax frame!"
Goals or Ambitions for Speedway: "Not to get injured and to ride as long as I enjoy it. To see more riders race at Paris as this is the only true speedway track we have that is dedicated to our sport."
Favourite team: Sheffield Tigers of the Premier League.
Favourite riders: (England in the 60's & 70's Jack Kitchen & Arnold Haley - both Sheffield Tigers)
Canada - Len Dillon (unbelievable natural ability)
Photos: Paris pits and on the track. The old picture is me at the far back waiting to go on the track at King's Lynn in 1970.
Bike: Upright GM in a Godden frame. back up bike is my original four valve Jawa.
