My first speedway ride was July 29, 1978. The 1978 photo is from my second weekend when the borrowed JAP took me to a Division One win. I had two years experience racing flat track 125cc and 250cc at the track before this night, so I knew the track, just had to figure out what a speedway bike handled like. FANTASTIC! My worst injury was five weeks later, a broken hand after highsiding turn two at Welland on my two valve Jawa. I raced speedway for three years in Canada, achieving second place in the Division One Points Championship in 1979.

In September, '95 I took up the sport again, and bought a two cam Jawa. From April 17th to May 2, 1996 I was part of the Canadian Speedway Team that represented Canada in Sweden. I have ridden every track in my area, doing my best to further the sport of speedway racing in Canada and the USA. I have worked with the RCMP in their "Racing Against Drugs" program for two years. We are trying to show kids the thrill of racing is a great alternative to drug use. Canada + USA Speedway ! the web site I started.
