Fast Fridays Speedway Gold Country Fairgrounds Auburn, California
HOG Night & Challenge Elimination Series - Round 4
July 22, 2005 - Fast Fridays, Auburn
By Gary Roberts
More hot weather in the Sierra Foothills required masses of water on the track, but it quickly turned into a good racing surface.
The evening was marred by a second heat accident which sent Bobby Hedden to the hospital, with a crushed vertebra and broken ribs. Get well Bobby!
The crowd was reasonable, but there was a distinct shortage of riders.

I was very disappointed that the much talked about return of Bobby Ott did not happen. Latest word was the gentleman proclaiming to be Bobby Ott was an impostor! Whoever the gentleman was, I enjoyed my conversation with him. Both I and Charlie Venegas were impressed with his knowledge of the sport and riding techniques. This must have come from somewhere, I would like to watch him ride, whoever he is.
Since so many riders were missing last night, some may have forgotten that the next Carson City Speedway event is July 30. If there are any riders out there, who I have not talked with or have not contacted the promoter, please email me asap if you wish to be added to the program. Remember, Speedway will only grow if we all support it.
